Trying to kill off Lucid, probably.
How hard can it be? They just have to remove the bits in their drivers that deny SLI on 'non-compatable' boards.
Quite coincidental that I only posted a question asking this the other day! Like Cat said really good news. Does this mean that AMD 990 series chipsets will support BOTH Sli and Crossfire, it is pretty unusually for a board to support both right?
Yes the higher end 990fx and 990x should support crossfire and sli. I think most of the latest intel boards support both sli and crossfire.
Amd's previous chipset could run sli and crossfire but it wasnt official (as in licensed). You needed to trick the nvidia drivers into thinking you were using an intel chipset to enable sli.
