    Replacement motherboard

I'm looking for a replacement motherboard for £150 or less.

I already have an Asus P8Z68-V PRO but this is damaged and I never got to use it. Should I just get another V-Pro or would you recommend the ASRock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3 instead? I've seen one or two reviews about the ASRock motherboards failing prematurely and I'm concerned about reliability. The motherboard is to fit a 2500k and 2 x 4gb G-Skill Ripjaws. Perhaps someone could recommend another model also? Thanks!

    Re: Replacement motherboard

I've just had to RMA an P8Z68-V PRO because the USB3 controller for the front sockets wasn't working. That problem aside, I was very pleased with it but if the replacement gives me any trouble, I might have to review that opinion.

Unfortunately, forums give the impression that everything is unreliable - and obviously the most popular products will attract more comments.

At the moment, I'm still happy with the ASUS (and even happier with the Crucial M4!).

    Re: Replacement motherboard

Well, I've gone for a Extreme4 Gen3. It should in theory out-perform the Asus. Hopefully it won't break down!
