    New mITX AMD Motherboards

I know a lot of us have got used to whinging about the poor provision in the mITX arena for AMD processors, so here's a couple of things to cheer us up: Zotac mITX boards based on 880G and 890GX chipsets. at £85 and £100 the prices are pretty reasonable for mITX boards, too, and the 880G one (and by extrapolation both of them) alledgedly supports 95W processors, making an mITX hex-core system a possibility!

Ebuyer doesn't have pictures of the 880G one, but it appears to take standard DIMMs and come with a mini-pcie wireless card as standard, but only a PCIe x1 slot. The 890GX version takes SODIMMs and also includes wireless, plus a PCIe x16 slot.

    Re: New mITX AMD Motherboards

The main issue is that these motherboards are not AM3+ and were only available in the UK in the last few months. Was it too hard for Zotac to not even put in a AM3+ socket after developing the motherboards for so long??
