    Laptop mainboard problem

As you must of read my two previous motherboard problem posts, I am desperatly trying to repair this motherboard but I have no idea what the problem is before I can fix it. The motherboard won't show any display after a simple repair on the power jack. Using an external monitor; had no display.

Can we try and isolate the problem? Are there any tricks I can try to determine the problem? For instance I have other motherboards that I could nick the chips from and swap over any potentially damaged ones. Where could the problem lay?

Look forward to hearing your answers.

    All the best

    Re: Laptop mainboard problem

I've not read your other threads, I hate to say this but laptop components are not really designed to be repairable, replaceable at the bare minimum.
I hope you're very skilled with a soldering iron and know how to identify and replace surface mount electronics because that's what it's probably going to come down to.

What laptop is it? what are the full specs?
