Love the look of the Asrock boards, is nice to see that more manufacturers are changing colour scheme from the standard blue. But if the Gigabyte offering has the dual bios which is on their Z68 boards I'm sold!

On the Asus Maximus V Formula pic, what is that at the top left of the board? It look really nice though, I really like that red & black scheme. Looks like nice red ram in the Gene also.

colinmcr, if you look at the gene version (the smaller maximus board) it is a start switch, I assume it's for overclocking but I am not too familiar with the Maximus boards.

I didn't mean the red power button (which is rather handy) but I mean the black support bracket thingy that looks like it has a ssd stuck in it with green trim at the top "LEFT" of the image.

    Re: CeBIT 2012 - Z77 Motherboard Pictures

That's what I get for surfing on a tablet, pics get flipped around, that black thing is a mPCIE Combo socket, part of Asus' "wifi-go!", supposedly you can use mobile expansion cards for it. Asus have stated:

"mPCIe Combo™ - Give Your GENE A Power Up!
An included, unique augmentation port allows mini-PCIe and mSATA SSD upgrades, without sacrificing space around the all-important graphics card slots. This gives a small PC huge potential to sport WiFi, SSDs, Bluetooth, 3G, GPS and other upgrades, creating the ultimate customizable and portable LAN machine."

    Certainly looks interesting!

    Re: CeBIT 2012 - Z77 Motherboard Pictures

Thanks for taking the time to reply there, its a nice idea mPCIe. I'll have to head over to their website and have a read. I've never heard of mSATA ssd either, glad I joined this forum!

    Thanks again
