Question gigabyte ga-p35c-ds3r 775 motherboard issues

    hello everyone!
I have an old system, it is a gigabyte board socket 775 with an intel q6600 cpu with 4 gigs of ram. my problem is that my hard drives show up twice in the bios and make it where i cannot put in different hard drive. i have the latest bios update for the motherboard. this started after my antec psu capacator blew up. antec replaced the psu but the motherboard is full of glitches that you have to monkey with to get it to run sometimes. should i try to reflash the bios or just start thinking about saving for a new (or used) motherboard and cpu.
My main problem is I am disabled and on a fixed income with a family of 5. if anyone knows where to get cheap but good parts I would appriciate it.
any help is appriciated. this motherboard is driving me nuts!
Thanks and have a grat day!

You could try resetting the BIOS by using the CMOS reset header on the motherboard. This will reset all the BIOS settings. If the problem persists then you could try reflashing the BIOS or trying an older version.
