If you are going to be using IVY bridge , then you SHOULDNT use 1.65v Ram, it is actually reccomended by intel to only use 1.5v. But that and any memory will be compatible with the motherboard.

I agree and basically you can buy 1 stick of 8gigs for £30 now days so more room for upgrades

    Re: Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H & memory

Obviously this thread is now some 6months old but just in case anybody else needs help with this then I can tell you from my own recent build using this m/board that this memory ISNT compatible. If you look at the serial number of this memory it begins with cmx, this mother board only supports cml or cmz serial no's. While it works ok, you will see in the bios that it will only run at 1333mhz whatever you try to do, plus there is no option to set voltage to 1.65 (1.64 being the nearest option) I exchanged mine for Corsair Vengeance LP (2x4GB) which is xmp and which does run at 1.5v, 1600mhz (if you use scan.co.uk its link no.39754) Hope this is of help to someone.

I can confirm this with other budget Gigabyte boards. Kingstom RAM running at 1600Mhz 1.65v downclocks to 1333Mhz 1.5v.

On a side note, I originally purchased some XMS3 2x4GB 16000Mhz RAM @1.65v and it did run at 1600Mhz unlike the Kingston sticks. Unfortunately one of them was DOA and I had to return it.
