Gigabyte Z77-D3H (rev 1.1 board) Bios version

    Hi

My board came with the F17 bios, and I see that the F18 bios came out pretty soon after. I know the saying 'if it aint broke, don't fix it', but just wondering if anyone else had swapped between the two and noticed any benefits?. (Ignoring the F19g bios for now, with it being beta).

    thanks
    joe

I usually keep always the LATEST BIOS on my boards/laptops/other miscellaneous devices.

The new BIOS can add you stability, new functions, bigger performance, higher compatibility. I would say the only down side is the need to update the BIOS, because if something goes wrong while updating ... But this days motherboards have technologies which prevents from such a thing from happening.

Your call. I would personally do it.

Will probably leave it to be honest, unless there's a specific benefit someone knows in doing so from F17 --> F18 (their personal findings).
