    Which mATX board?

    Hello

Which of this two would be more favorable? MSI Z77MA-G45 or ASRock Z77 Pro4-M.

The MSI Z77MA-G45 cheapest could be get for £69.44 from Amazon.co.uk.

The ASRock Z77 Pro4-M costs around £70 as well.

The configuration for which this board will be will consist of i5 3570k, 2x4GB DDR3 and AMD 7970.

Any other suggestible Z77 mATX board around this price? Or something better for something slightly higher?

    Thanks

EDIT : Is is a reason to worry for the MSI to have a ATX 4PIN 12V connector and the ASRock to have a more traditional (as far Z77 boards go) a 8PIN 12V connector?

I have the ASRock Z77 Pro4-M (and the i5-3570k). It's a decent board, apparently overclocks very well too, although haven't tried to yet.

Hmm, do you plan to OC in the near future? Wonder how it would work out for you. I still have good 2-3 weeks until the purchase.

    Re: Which mATX board?

I'd like to add that the ASRock board also has the ability to control 3-pin (non-PWM) fans. I don't know how many fans is it safe to hook up but it's a really nice feature. The fans appear to the OS just as if they were PWM.

As for OC, have to replace the Intel cooler and case fans first. It's nice to have the option open but it's not really a priority.

    Re: Which mATX board?

Just building a custom PC for one of my managers with the ASRock, so I am very curious how it is going to work out.

    Re: Which mATX board?

Both MSI and ASRock make very good Z77 boards, I would think either will be a good buy. The CPU connector doesn't matter.
