I have a 7970 and will probably add another at a later date. So want atleast x8 on pcie.
Sammy greens 2 x 4gb
Samsung 830 ssd.
I normally prefer gigabyte, but dont mind asus and msi. I will be overclocking all of it.

Gigabyte Z87X-OC, Asus Z87 Maximus VI Hero, MSI M Power are current favourite mid priced easy overclocking boards.
Depends if you want orange, red or yellow colour scheme.
I have a blue and black colour scheme lol, but I'm not too fussed on the colour tbh, I'd rather get a better one then a certain coloured one.
I'm guessing those 3 are about the same?
Cheers
Oh and is there much difference between one just over £100 and these?
The gigabyte is the more popular from what I can gather, with a bigger supporting fanbase from the sites I visit.
Difference between these and £100 boards are extending overclocking and tweaking options, whether or not they get used is a different story, but the potential is there for better results.

Thats great, thanks very much for that
The Gigabyte Z87X-D3H at just under £120 has to be worth a look. It does crossfire and SLI and has got very good reviews. You will run out of overclocking headroom long before you run out of the bios options. I really don't see the point of these more expensive boards with Haswell unless you really want the extra features such as better audio.
I agree, overclocking is all about the chip on Haswell and although the price varies massively, the feature sets don't. Boards like the Maximus VI Formula are still great (I have one) but very expensive if you end up using audio over HDMI and not the class leading onboard audio.
Asus Z87-K is a good choice, unless you want to go SLI then you need Plus or Pro version as I remember
Thanks for your advice
Anyone used the Snipers yet?
