ASRock Unveils the Z87 Extreme11/ac Motherboard

Wonder what machine can be built upon this board. 4-way Crossfire or 4-way SLI, 22x SATA3 ports (from that 16x SAS-3 12Gb/s) or Thunderbolt 2 (not like there is much which uses even Thunderbolt 1). And the 802.11ac + v4.0 BluBluetooth module. And the front panel.

4x big SSD in one RAID and the rest of the ports to carry some 4TB or 6TB(once they come out) HDDs.

On the other hand if I would like to have a big reliable system I would rather go for a server grade board. So for who is this board?

Looks like a great data-processing rig - massive storage bandwidth and scope for compute PCIe cards.

Re: ASRock Unveils the Z87 Extreme11/ac Motherboard

I think AsRock recently released Bit Coin mining dedicated motherboards too. ASRock launches two mobos for Bitcoin miners.

AsRock always had some funky ideas: AGP and PCI-Express on one board or ASRock P4 Combo Socket 478 and Socket 775 one one board.
