Sound Blaster Recon3Di on Gigabyte Z87 Sniper, volume problem

    Hi,

Recently I have problem with Sound Blaster Recon3Di on my Gigabyte Z87 Sniper
and i wonder if anyone here have a clue how to fix it?

Sometimes when talking on skype/playing games the volume goes up to 100% and can't be turned down anymore. The sound is very bad. I tried to turn down the volume using the system control panel, even to mute it, but it won't go down. I was told that in this moment also my microphone has problems. This affects also all other Windows programs once the problem occurs.

this can only be fixed by either restarting the computer or by deactivating/reactivating the sound card in the system control panel.

My driver is already the latest version found on Gigabyte website

I see you have started an identical thread in the SCAN section.

If you bought the items from SCAN and are looking for after sales support, that is the place to post, and I'll close this thread.

    Hi,

Apologizing for my duplicate post. However, this post is for a different reason thou
Yes, I'm seeking some help from SCAN, but I also wonder if any of us, users, might have some idea about this weird driver problem ^^

If you think this is irrelevant, please feel free to close this one

    thanks!

I am actually shocked (by myself cause I never thought I will do it) but what if you would try SlimDrivers. Actually got a very good experience, so maybe the program would choose a different driver which would fix your problem. Always worth the try. Also if you can be bothered Station-drivers. Always found the drivers that I was looking for.
