    Question Do Skylake Mobos offer advantages (e.g: New features)?

    Title says it all. Perhaps looking into skylake and i'd like to know if there are any additional features specifically for skylake?

    Wiki is useful for comparing chipsets. They have nice tables which IMO give the best rundown on differences between socket's chipsets.

    DDR4 metal pci slots on some boards more pci lanes so you can run a gpu at full x16 plus a pair of nvme ssds at x4 badwidth usb 3.1 support support for higher memory clocks as well as watercooled motherboards and a lot more usb 3 and usb 2 ports
