Hi! I'm building my first pc and was wondering if the Gigabyte F2A88XM- HD3 is a good motherboard to pair with the Athlon x4 860k? If not any suggestions would be welcome!!
Also a side note, will this board support the R9 380 which has 4GB Vram?

Hi, That looks like a fine combination.
What is it that you are looking to do ?
Do you already have the cpu ?
I doubt you'll be playing Fallout 4 on that CPU to be honest. It manages to almost max out my 4690k, and the 860k is nowhere near as powerful as that. GTAV *does* max out my CPU, so no chance you'll be playing that on high settings. Not bad for a budget CPU mind you, I'd highly recommend buying an aftermarket cooler for it though, something like a CM 212 EVO or a Noctua DH-14 so it can be overclocked to increase performance per pound.
Looks like a pretty decent budget motherboard to me, and it shows the x4-860k as supported. I can see a PCIe x16 slot so you should be okay with the graphics card too.
The 860k came up in a brief question I saw on Tom's Hardware, which also might be interesting to you.
I tried out Fallout 4 and GTAV on Max settings, so far, so good 55+ FPS! Also I found that the stock cooler does an admirable job but it does get a bit loud. Thanks for your input but it seemed a little incorrect.
I'm not an expert but I think the Gigabyte F2A88XM-HD3 motherboard to be paired with Athlon x4 is okay. In short they are good combination.
