LGA 1155 motherboard options?
I made the mistake of skimping on my motherboard when I originally built my PC a few years ago (a rubbish Asus H61 board paired with an i5 2500k) and have been looking around for some Z68/Z77 motherboards but they are few and far between around the place. More a shot in the dark, but does anyone know if/where it's possible to source those boards? I've had a look on gumtree and ebay but finding reasonably priced working ones has proven difficult so far.
Re: LGA 1155 motherboard options?
Depends what you are calling reasonably priced? I have a stash of Gigabyte Z77 boards that I was going to use for a project but didn't in the end. The price of these tends to be high as they make the basis of a great HackingTosh build, reminds me that I ought to get them up on eBay soon. Alternatively keep posting and get access to the For Sale board and you may find one on there.
Re: LGA 1155 motherboard options?
aaah you late man i sell my asus z77 pro new to 50€ is rare find good price for this item or other cpu ect etc
Re: LGA 1155 motherboard options?
Matt if you are still looking I have a GigaByte Z77 board Im selling, if you are interested let me know and I'll open a classified ad.
EDIT, ahhh, forget that for a while, just seen your post count wont allow access to classifieds yet, sorry
Re: LGA 1155 motherboard options?
Thanks for the suggestions, at least there are still boards kicking about which was my main worry :P I've always been more of a lurker than a poster, but I'm sure I'll build up my post count soon enough to access the classified ads and for sale boards.
I did consider just saving up a bit more and buying a skylake processor/mb/DDR4 but I'm not entirely sure the performance gains to cost ratio would be worthwhile. I'm guessing even a slight overclock might prove worthwhile on my current setup when if I get a better board.
Re: LGA 1155 motherboard options?
dont suppose the boards you were talking about were mitx were they g8ina /jimborae.
I have all the gubbins for a 1155 build, but I'm pretty convinced the m-board i have is faulty :(
