Your CPU won't lose much more value if you wait another year, especially with the current lack of CPU innovation.
If it were me I'd be selling the 950 ASAP (that will depreciate relatively quickly) and getting a 1060/70
If you're set on upgrading, then from the reviews I've seen so far most of the 200 series boards are pretty similar so either:
shop around and grab a cheap one,
or
if aesthetics matter, some of the boards have fancy built in RGB lighting and can interface with other RGB products to allow system-wide colour syncing. If you want this you'll want to stick with one manufacturer for all of the RGB bits.
