PC boots to BIOS on soft boot only
Recently I’ve noticed some odd behaviour in the way my PC boots up – On soft boot ie if I switch it off and then switch it back on again (without switching on at the mains) it boots directly into BIOS. However, all seems fine from a cold boot i.e. switch on at mains & then switch on PC it boots up fine. It boots up fine on 'Restart' too.
This was since I had the watercooler replaced under warranty by Scan who updated the BIOS from V1.0.1 to V2.03 at the time too.
I've tried removing keyboard, mouse & other usb devices in turn to rule them out but no joy. Any ideas what could cause this?

Are there other BIOS you might use?

Check all the motherboard power cables are seated and as Millennium said, see if its a BIOS Issue
Re: PC boots to BIOS on soft boot only
Excuse my ignorance, but how would I check to see if it's a BIOS issue?

Think I've sussed it - enabling S3 and S4 compatibility seems to have done the trick. I cna only assune I'd inadvertantly disabled it :shocked2:
