Re: X470 Motherboards look great! Which are you hoping get good reviews?
I do like the price of the Gigabyte Aorus X470 Ultra Gaming, hoping the VRMs are decent. Is it likely they would limit a 2700X?
Keenly awaiting reviews but unfortunately when there is a new release their is often a big focus on the flagship boards rather than these.
Have been tempted to grab a flagship but if I'm not limited by the VRMs then I would happily settle for a cheaper board. They actually seem pretty feature packed to be honest.

Gamers Nexus did a break down video of the Gigabyte Aorus X470 Gaming 7 motherboard yesterday: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNRQZkYB0ns
The VRM and the overall quality of the board was praised. The VRM is designed for peak efficiency with an Overclock of 1.42v/4.3GHz. This is using a 10 phase (5*2) + 2 VRM configuration.
The Ultra Gaming looks like has 8 phase (4*2) + 3 configuration using the same components. Meaning its easily going to cope with a 2700X stock and could probably handle an overclock too but efficiency wouldn't be as good as the Gaming 7.
I'm hopeful at this stage. Just need to get a proper review from the experts to confirm.
Really impressed with what I've read on the X470 boards. Many manufacturers appear to of perfected their AM4 design in 1 year.
