    BTX Motherboard

I have the HP Compaq 6005 Pro MT PC Micro Tower which has a BTX (mounts on the left
side of the case) mainboard (Mainboard Model 3047h) Processor (AMD Phenom II X4 B97 Processor
    Speed 3.19GHz).
I am looking for a different BTX motherboard to fit in the PC Micro Tower which
will support a faster CPU. I have checked several places with no luck (BTX being
    the problem).

Does anybody have any suggestions (yes, I know it is an old system but I want to
upgrade it and overclock it if possible)

    Thank You

    Re: BTX Motherboard

BTX is an old standard and is not supported today, you'd only find them in OEM systems. Sorry bro but thats just how it is, even as a large community there isn't a product to cater for everyone

    Re: BTX Motherboard

You could try installing an mATX motherboard into the system, but it might be worth looking for a cheap ATX case, either new or secondhand.
