I normally stick pictures on imgur then embed them in the post with IMG tags (click on the picture of a tree in the post editor and paste the URL in). As you can post URLs, maybe that will work?

The storage allowance for uploading photos on here is really tiny. I have a few, I had to scale them right down and over compress them to get a few uploaded.

Most people just link to a photo site, I think if you have lots of images you want to show that is the only way.

5 posts lets you post urls. It also lets you post [img] links to imgbb as suggested, or imgur or any other you fancy.

edit: when you type a post do you see the icons above the text entry area? See the one with a tree on it? That's the insert image box. It uses the [img] [/img] handlers to link to online images via the web url.

yup, link works. If you click on the imgbb dropdown when you upload the photo it gives you a variety of links. The one you are looking for is bb code for forums. In this list you will have full size, then a variety of sizes with thumbnails. Use small or medium. You will get a link that looks like this:

[url = full size link ] [img .]<thumnail link>[/im.g][/ur.l] (I've had to put a few dots and spaces in there to get it to display - if you go back into imgbb you'll see what I'm on about)

Doing this will get the thumbnail image to display in the forum page and when someone clicks on it opens the full size image in imgbb. Really quite useful I find!

Edit: Remember to set your imgbb permissions to "view only by people with the link". You don't need to have them publicly accessible.

I am looking at X570 motherboards, the Tomahawk sounds like a good option however I am a bit worried about the vram fan noise.

I assume you’re talking about the chipset fan, from what I’ve seen those don’t even spin at low chipset load, some people say they’ve never even see them spin. This is as most use cases don’t put too much stress on the chipset itself.

Take a look at MSI’s site below, it gives confirmation of this.

    Re: what mobo for x570?

I was pretty set on getting the Asus ROG Strix x570-f since I do not need the wireless. But it seems ROG strix is not a popular choice at all, Is there a reason for this? Or just pricey when the standard user will not make the most use out of it?

    Re: what mobo for x570?

Compare the specs. It's not that the Asus is bad, just not as versatile IMO. Arguably better software though!

    Re: what mobo for x570?

The X570 Tomahawk is just the best value choice for most X570 users really, Hardware Unboxed did a review on it here https://youtu.be/rD65w5RVmtY it's also cheaper than that Asus board and offers some extra features like 2.5 gigabit LAN and WiFi 6.

    Re: what mobo for x570?

After much research and reading of reviews we opted for the MSI MAG X570 Tomahawk Wifi mobo for my son's upgrade system. From everything read MSI have addressed the thermal issues which effects previous boards plus bought the board in at a great price. When spec'ed against more expensive boards the Tomahawk punchs above its price point.
