DMX vs Ghostbusters is quite funny ;)
As for trancey versions there have been literally loads mate...
Right well I'm YouTubing as we speak and found about 10 I like, none of them are the right ones though :D
fairly certain that Justice sample the theme in one of their songs, DVNO;
YouTube - Justice - DVNO (1:28 onwards for sample)
not exactly trance, but easily one of my favourite songs of 2007
im really liking High Contrast's new album "tough guys don't dance". Not sure if it will be your style as it's quite Drum and Bass, but i heavily suggest you check em out.
MySpace.com - High Contrast - Cardiff, UK - Drum & Bass - www.myspace.com/highcontrastuk
As for trance i suggest you check out Armin van Buuren's State of trance radio set's, they are available as a free download from numerous sources, there are a couple of 100 of them so they should keep you occupied for a long time and are usually of a very good standard. Also if you like the really chilled out hip hop beats without the rapping over the top, Pete Rock's "The Surviving Elements is a great album. Last of my suggestions is someone i expect you have listened to but just in case you should definitely listen to Trentemoller's "The Last Resort" which is an awesome display of down tempo electronica.
Hope you like.
EDIT: Forgot to mention Lange YouTube - Lange - Maybe Tomorrow
Calm by Nomak is an awesome album... Some tracks are instrument only, some have hip hop in... But its worth a listen if you are a fan of hip hop or not..
Just bought Justice - Cross, Chromeo - Fancy Footwork and MIA - Kala, i'd recommend all of them, Chromeo in particular, it just makes me smile :)
Also just got TC's essential mix from last night, so far so good, it's turning out to be a top notch d&b mix
