Fish will be playing Aylesbury this evening :)

For anyone interested in ex Marillion lead singer, Fish, he'll be live at 6pm in Aylesbury Market Square.

And THAT is THE market square of "Market Sqaure Heroes"

Nice! Stumbled upon the video for Kayleigh on one of the music channels the other night which brought back a lot of memories. I may well have to dig out some of the old albums, I take it they're all made up/friends again?

well Steve Hogarth (current lead singer, for last 27 years) was no where to be seen, as he's doing his own thing.

But yes....they all talk, and I think Rothers and Fish are pretty good mates they are the energy I think.
Sadly Rothers guitar was unearable for the firs thalf of Market Sq Heroes but they sorted it.

and BRICK was there (aylesbury regular), the bloke that Fish used to go on the pish with, toothless old dude, who talked politics rebellion with him in 1981
I was stood right by the old boy, didn't know him until Fish pointed him out

Voice in the Crowd: he sung this while walking amongst us, and MAN he's got a superb presence. He's an old dude now, but HELL he commands the audience.

Market Square Heroes was exceptional.....I'm prud to have been there. Think Fish enjoyed it too

    What a cool night!
Fish's voice may not be quite up to scratch these days, but his stage presence certainly is

    Brick story!

    'ello!
No.... Grandparents had the pleasure of his company
I wish he had come.... it would have been a great "first gig"!! Altho with the amount of jumping around we were doing, probably wouldn't have been suitable for the little mite!!!

This is Fish's comment on the gig, posted on the Marillion forum....

Thanks for the comments on the gig. I had a brilliant time on Sunday and as has been pointed out the performance in the Market Square had nothing to do with reunions or anything else apart from 5 good mates and musos getting up on a stage together and having a laugh. We had always wanted to play the square back in the old days but never got the chance. It was a wonderful wallow in the nostalgia pond for all concerned.Despite rumours we are all actually mates and grown ups as well
I've got nothing but respect for H and the boy does a damn good job with the band, long may they continue.
Sunday was an opportunity and we all took it. I didn't want to make a big deal out of it so nothing was said beforehand in the press or on the web sites. It was pure fun for all concerned, nothing else. I think you can tell from our smiles on stage, and for those who were around us all backstage and at the pub it was obvious there was no animosity or anything else apart from 5 old friends having a great laugh together.
Thanks to the Marillo crew for helping out on the day , Lucy for being cool and lovely as always, and of course Mark, Steve, Ian and Pete for being great mates and good sports!

    take care and stay alive

    Fish

    ex Marillion
