Yup, this film completely blew me away. I saw it when I was at uni. We went to watch another film at the cinema but all the shows we wanted to watch were sold out. So since we were there we went to watch this. Amazing film.

Another good film with a twist is Arlington road. Fantastic stuff.

ferral not so sure about the simon pegg films you mentioned,there ok but not great,but it's an individual thing and everybodys taste is different.i see you mentioned a couple of nick cage films , you forgot one......

I think I will make a short list as its hard to just give 1 film

Gladiator - Just looks so good, fantastic story, gripping from start to end.

Shawshank Redemption - What can i say? Its so well made you can't take your eyes away, really good story told in a way that you simply have to give it 5 out of 5.

Goodfellas - Just a classic! and an inspiration to the Sopranos. Never forget the scene with the guy in the boot and the kitchen knife!

Raging Bull - Black and White and better for it, the film that saved Martin Scorsese's life thanks to Robert De Niro insisting he get of the drugs and Direct the film.

Aliens - For me the best action / Sc-Fi film ever made, will there ever be one to beat it?

The Sting - Old but very very cleaver. I love the first scam with Robert Redford and the black guy. If you haven't watched this I 100% advise you to. Every person who I have told to watch this has come back to me and told me its now one of their favourite films of all time.

I am shocked that some of the above films have not been said before in this thread... shame on you all!
