Is this the future of films?

Pretty amazing trailer here for a film called Beowulf

I wonder how many CGI films we are going to start seeing as technology gets better.

There's a different trailer on Apple as well. Does look impressive.

Re: Is this the future of films?

Just for reference, the book (or saga, whatever) is about 1000 years old. So adapting it to film is a bit different from adapting the latest bourne/potter etc.

Re: Is this the future of films?

Downloaded this a few days ago, never got round to watching.

    Just installed QTAlternative.

Wow, that looks fantastic. People still aren't perfect (if will be a long time yet before that happens) but i think the film will benefit from being digital.

First time i've watched HD content on my laptop too. Looks good

    Uncanny Valley.

As soon as I heard Ray Winston's vioce coming from the lead character, I couldn't help but pay more attention to the faces. I really do feel for facial animators, they've got the hardest job in animation, cause as good as this film looks I still think the stone-faced nature of the characters will spoil this film for me.
