Think the accoustics in the O2 are not very good!

Also saw Prince which was a great show but sound quality wasn't good.

Prince was great last time round I saw him at wembley arena, must have been over ten years ago!!!

Madonna, Guns n Roses, Beastie Boys, Chemical Brothers all good.

    Eddie Halliwell and Marco V...

But Tiësto DOES put on a good show, therefore is good to see live

Maximo Park, U2 & Faithless are all superb live.

I've only seen U2 and Faithless once but have seen Maximo Park about 7 times now, 3 times in one week on the recent tour and they rock. Hard.

Edit - Porcupine Tree are astonishing live, not because they all bounce about the place but because of the energy and technical skill being put into the music.

I know - I saw him last year at nation in Liverpool for my birthday as part of 1 of my celebrational things

What ruined it though was him playing that ruddy pirate song he did. I mean come on... save the dramatical score for films, not the dancefloor area.

I've heard the happy mondays are touring again and as such I think I shall get this on the list of things to do before I'm 30

Chris Cornell if he comes back to the UK in the Spring... he was immense at The Roundhouse in September. Proper musical talent rather than all that electronic bleepy ****e listed in this thread so far

Metallica, Tool, Machine Head, Lamb of god, Amen, Prodigy, Devildriver, Apocalyptica, The Hives and American Headcharge are bands I'll vouch for and will no doubt throw down cash to see again if the opportunity arises.

Having seen them last night, I'd strongly recommend seeing Arcade Fire - they were fantastic!

Re: Who would you reccomend seeing "live"

Muse were really impressive a great Live show
The Feeling were a really nice suprise, saw them at Brighton Dome - excellent acoustics and really good fun
    Depeche Mode Great live band
The Coral Suprised me - very much more pychdelic than I expected
Rage against the machine One of the best live sets I have ever seen (was about 15 years ago
Arctic Monkeys Was quite a lively event (esp at Brixton Academy!!)
Radiohead Were awesome, if a little restrained on chatting

My favourite venues: (IMO) Brixton Academy (Intimate and dirty) The Roundhouse (Intimate and atmospheric) Brighton Dome(for its lovely acoustics and atmosphere)

Well they are the ones that stand out - thing is for me live music is almost always great as long as the performers can perform, the venue is acoustically ok (wembley arena) and the beer is cold.

Re: Who would you reccomend seeing "live"

I have an eclectic taste myself and in past year have seen pink, kylie, george michael, scissor sisters and faithless(twice in 1 week) and bon jovi.(and before anyone says anything, I'm not gay, just like going to concerts and my friends normally get the tickets).

Out of all of them, Pink puts on an amazing show(and is fit(as in gorgeous)), kylie, george michael and scissors had good shows. Bon jovi were great.

By far the best for a live show were faithless, everyone goes mental and I've never been to a show where there is so much energy in the place. Blew me away. Faithless also had calvin harris for a warm up.
I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.
