Some great music
As some will know, I buy a lot of music. Most of it isn't to every ones tastes, and most people have probably never heard of it :)
So here is a (small) selection of what I've been listening to recently.
Distance and Time by Fink
Male singer songwriter. Mainly acoustic, but there are some good beats in it too. Although it is pretty laid back, it's not deep and emotional (or 'depressing' as describe it) like some similar things i listen to.
Ease down the road by Bonnie 'Prince' Billy
Also known as Will Oldham. Again a singer songwriter. Quiet, laid back folk and country. He's a bit odd and eccentric.
Colour It In by The Maccabees
Some great indie rock. Not too man jangly guitars like most of the current indie crowd. Latchmere does indeed have a wave machine.
The Reminder by Feist
Female singer songwriter. She actually does the music in the new the iPod mini advert - 1234
Fur and Gold by Bat For Lashes
The whole album has a kind of medieval feel. Apparently fantastic live.
This Is The Life by Amy Macdonald
Another female singer songwriter. I guess she is kind of country rock... or something. She's from Bishopsbriggs, just outside Glasgow.
In Our Nature by José González
His second solo album, and although it doesn't have the well known Crosses I actually think it is a stronger album.
That will do for now i think :)
Current SlimServer library stats: 1153 albums with 16604 songs by 426 artists.

Re: Some great music
I know Bonnie 'Prince' Billy - I have that album, and saw him live around 18 months back. He's a bit of a character but does some grand music.
