M.i.a.?

I really don't know what happened, but I bought "Kala" by M.I.A.

I've been very vocal to some about my dislike for this girl in the past. But for some reason, unknown to me, her single "Paper Planes" really got into my head.

I've tried to listed to this album properly and really can't. The singles are great, the rest of the album is rubbish as far as I can tell.

But cranking my Kaiser up to 95% putting Paper Planes on a few times is great!

Oh well. Yet more amunition to those that think my music a little odd.

There's nothing wrong with having an odd taste in music, just rephrase it and say you have an eclectic taste in music. I bought Kala a while back and i'm still not sure about it, there's some songs on there that get on my nerves and others (like paper planes) that i love! That's why i love music so much if you look hard enough you can find hidden gems in the strangest places.

A good friend of mine says that I don't actually have a taste in music. This isn't mean as a put down (which is odd for him), but because my listening habbits are so wide, you can't say it is a taste, I merely like it or I don't.

Which is fair comment I guess :)

That's the best philosophy to have music is either good or it isn't regardless of genre, but it's also very much subject to personal preference
