    Film Recommendations

So i've just signed up for the 2 month free trial at tesco's but i've realised that there's not many films that i really want to watch. Which leads to the question what do the good people at hexus recommend. I generally like all genres but particularly sci-fi/fantasy, although i've seen many of the blockbusters of recent years. I am also partial to the odd foreign film like pan's labyrinth, la vita e belle (sp) and Un long dimanche de fiançailles.

    So what do people recommend?

    Thanks

    Andy

    Re: Film Recommendations

Day Watch, Night Watch (both Russain), Cube Trilogy, Saw 1 - 4, Taxi 1 - 3 (French Films, but all really good!), Fracture as recommended above, Deja Vu, Next, Matrix films on HD DVD would be amazing I'd imagine, Ratouille, Ice Age 1 + 2, and the various other disney/ pixar films, Surf's Up.

For all of those, While the first in each series is definately recommended, the sequels are all pretty poor (with the exception of Saw 2).
In particular the first Cube film is fantastic, but the sequel's are rather painful...

My personal recomendation, if you haven't seen it, is infernal affairs (Korean/Hong Kong can't remember which). Much better than the rather average hollywood remake (The Departed).

    Re: Film Recommendations

Saw 1 & 2 are both good., Saw 3 & 4 don't really live up to the first two.
Point Break - one of my all time favourites.

If you like your far east films:

    1) Spring, Summer, Autumn & Winter
    2) Hidden Blade

both are a far cry from the usual chop socky films from the far east
