    Mp3 renamers

Can I have some recommendations for S/W that renames MP3s - I suspect I don't have Tags embedded in the majority of mine - ripped from various sources and with all sorts of programs like WMP, AudioGrabber, DMC and many others I have tried.

Is there something that checks an internet database and intelligently renames tracks or only albums?

    Thanks!

Tag & Rename is my personal fav. Can check against freedb (I think) as well as UK and international vartiants of Amazon. You can tag from the file name, create file names from the tags, multi tag artist/album/genre/year.

I used it, and nonthing else to sort out my 100gb of mp3 and flac files.

It's a great bit of software.

I second Tag and Rename. I also use MP3 tag for compilation albums.
I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.

    Re: Mp3 renamers

There are loads of free apps to do this. They vary in quality though.

Two favourites over on the SlimDevices forum are The Godfather and mp3tag (there is a commercial app called MP3Tag or something, so it gets confusing).

Personally I use Tag&Rename too though. I payed for it because I liked the interface and couldn't be bothered learning something else
