Does anyone watch this?
If not, I would wholeheartedly recommend if it you like your cop shows!

I got through all five seasons within three months - certainly a show to watch on DVD though as you can just watch episode after episode as it all builds to the conclusion.
Clay Davis has the best delivery of an expletive ever :)
Haha, I've not seen much of Clay, I'm only just starting watching the second season.
You're completely right about it being a series you have to buy on DVD though, I got through the first season in less than a week!
I'm on the 5th episode of season 5, it is excellent. Season 4 was my favourite. Lots of the cast are Brits too.
David Simon has a new 7 part show out in the US, Generation Kill.. Could be interesting.
I have series one of this and Deadwood to watch. I have a free weekend I might try them.
I honestly don't know which one to watch. Both are highly recommended. I don't mind dialogue driven drama if it's good. I don't really like CSI, Prison Break or Lost that much. I didn't motivate myself to continue past the first season of Heroes.
Do like four big cartoon sitcoms, Dexter, Chuck etc.
Has anybody seen both? Your thoughts?
Absolutely awesome series, ended up watching it over 2-3 weeks :)
Wish they would do a new storyline though, I miss it :(
It's worth watching, borrowed the DVD of the first series from my bro then brought the other 4 to watch.
I can't believe to ended up late night on BBC2 it the best American drama I've seen
Clay Davis - swearing it's not big or clever ... but I always smiled when he started saying "sheeeeeeee...
the wire is excellent - but i would definitely not class it as a 'cop show' as the cops only really make up about a fifth of the story :)
The Wire is one the best TV shoes of all time. The character development is second to none.
Yep, i really enjoyed The Wire too..some excellent acting and unusual personalities.
Four nights down and I think I get the jist of Deadwood, but haven't actually remained awake during any one of them. I understand where the story's going but I think there comes a point where I'm watching it while bored due to reputation.
Going to start with The Wire tonight.
How did I miss this :o
I found out about The Wire shortly after season seven of The Shield finished last year (if you haven't seen any of The Shield I highly recommend that as well tbh) and I ended up ripping through all five seasons in under a month, I loved the way it moved focus from the docks to the schools to news desk as it progressed and by season four I was pretty much completely addicted :)
