I loved this film when it first came out and the Bluray version is very very good but its been a long time and there has yet to be a sequel.
Who else would like to see one?

Get yourself the Hornblower boxset :)
Yea I'd like a sequel as well, saw Master and Commander at the cinema, great film :)
I've read 17 of the O'Brian series on Aubrey/Maturin, and really enjoyed the lot. Don't tell anyone... (but you can get them as decent audiobooks from torrent sites), or, of course you could, ahem, buy them off amazon
Hell yer! :P
I loved the first film. have seen it so many times but it's still a good watch.
it was the only film I had on my Ipod on holiday so saw it so many times lol.
Outstanding film and well due for a sequel
I'd like to see the hornblower books made into films with a decent budget. They stopped making the TV series because the costs were too high, but the smaller Grand Turk with 30 extras doesn't quite stand in for the Indy and her 310 officers and crew. I can't imagine the cost of showing Nelson's funeral procession along the Thames would fit in with a small screen budget.
A film would have the budget required for a larger cast, and could stay closer to the novels, without the adaptions required by the smaller budget. The novels detailing Hornblower's later career have the better stories.
