Anyone else off to see Metallica in Feb/March?

Tickets go on sale on the 24th at 9am, unless like me you are in the fan club, in which case you can buy them now

Metallica and Machine Head under the same roof Last time that happened for me was Donnington 95

I've got tickets for 4 shows so far, the 2 O2 gigs, Birmingham and Nottingham. Anyone else going? Maybe we could get a Hexus group together?

The thing with this gig is Machine Head will outshine Metallica I reckon. Machine Head's last few albums have been spot on and Metallica seem to be scraping by which is a shame :/

Re: Anyone else off to see Metallica in Feb/March?

Metallica have a massive back catalogue of material they can pull from, I've seen them live 3 times this year and for me they never get boring to watch. Death Magnetic is an awesome album and the songs they have been playing live so far off the album work really well.

I do agree a little though, Machine Head are on top form at the moment and there is a very good chance of them stealing the show. I don't mind though, it's 2 of my all time fav bands under one roof It don't get much better than that

MH are supporting them in the US for the 2 LA shows, something to do with Lamb of God not being allowed to play the venue, so I guess we will get a little glimpse of the European leg.

Re: Anyone else off to see Metallica in Feb/March?

I was thinking about it, See Tickets e-mailed me with the details, but..... dunno

I havn't actually heard Death Magnetic yet but the last few Metallica albums were dire. And yes, I bought them, more fool me.

I do here DM is good though but for now colour me disillusioned.
