You can't deny the influence on the music world and I appriciate their contribution to it. Never really liked them though. In fairness I haven't given them much a chance over the years, just some mates who liked M83 thought I would like them.. oh dear.
Learned a few things about them from that article though.. The phone that never rings![]()
I'm glad I saw the full line-up in Manchester a couple of years ago!
It must have been my fault, I've only just cleared a bunch of their stuff off my iPod.
Sorry!
Oh dear. Going solo after 40 years though is not a good idea IMO as he will always be remembered by anyone who has heard of Kraftwerk as part of that band & nothing else.
BTW - has this actually been confirmed by Kraftwerk yet? Certainly nothing on their site that I could see.
If it is true I think I might cry. Cant deny the unbelievable influence these guys have had on the electronic music scene. They are after all, the grandfathers of electronic music.
