Watching R.O.D. Read or Die tonight.
Blood the last Vampire was made much earlier (2000) and the stories carries in a Manga (and I think game?). The animation was actually very good at the time, but the story unfinished. Blood+ (2005) is sort of based in a parallel universe, and it's not bad overall. Saya annoyed me for a long time though.
Claymore is awesome until the last few episodes (where it deviated from the manga in very significant ways - and not for the best). Most people who are reading the manga would probably like to pretend that the last few episodes didn't happen. One thing for sure, if they ever make season 2, it'll be separate from the manga.
@Mike and other Fate/Stay Night fans. If you like fighting games, check out Fatal Fake. Video of gameplay here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=smPQKjRaSJ0
Another top choice my man The series set later in the time line (and in a sort of maybe parallel world...not quite worked it out yet) is quite good too, though there are quite a few "filler" eps. I forget the series title though...but it's about 3 users of paper rather than just Agent Paper.
Too nice: I've mentioned before in the thread how Claymore anime deviates from the manga - I prefer the "slower" way of Clare's progress in the latter episode (where she is fighting....Rigaldo in Peita)in the anime. The manga just really rushed Clare's development in that particular fight. Aft er that though, the manga has a much better storyline whereas the anime, they just made up an ending to finish the series.
I enjoyed ROD the anime series, got the OVA but not had time to watch it. Hmm, think I should give it a go sometime
I wish they'd ended Claymore after the battle in the North, instead of trying to fudge an ending. It would have made a great second series possible.
But I really hope a second series comes anyway, cos I want to see the Abyss Feeders and the uber twins and a 7 years older Raki
The Claymore anime situation is unfortunately the same as the Berserk one especially when a lot of material has been covered in the manga since the original show aired.
Maybe the anime studios could both "reboot" both shows in the near future like they did with Fullmetal Alchemist.
still love Akira, think its a cracking film
Finished Tengen Toppa Guren Lagann. I'm in love with Yoko, although the ending was very sad. Really an awesome anime, I loved the styling, memorable characters (ohhh kamina-sama !!) and some nice extras ^^
