Made me laugh
Yeah but we're not interesting in the snogability of the main characters which they probably point out in Magazines like Heat
It's Star Trek Jim... but not as we know it.
I for one am looking forwards to this and can't wait to take the girlfriends son to geek it up watching this sometime next week when it's not too packed at the cinema.
It sounded like this was going to be intereresting back when the news JJ Abrams was in charge(...resists...taking the helm...puns...), so I've been wondering what they'd come up with since the first trailers.
I'll be seeing this on Saturday

Just got back.
Disapointed.
That noise you can hear is gene roddenberry spinning in his grave.
just saw it, I'm not a trekkie at all, never really watched Star Trek when I was younger, so I really enjoyed the film, but I reckon real Star Trek fans will probably be annoyed at it...
As a Sci-Fi film goes, I thought it was great
Just saw it with my mates(some of them like Trek like me too) and we all thought it was a great film. It could be enjoyed by people who like Trek already and those that know very little about it. They seem to have managed to pay homage to all the previous Trek films if you are observant enough.
Definite one of the better ones and I hope it reinvigorates the franchise!!
I like this line though:
"I've got your gun!" Bang!
I still think that Wrath of Khan is the best one though. Khannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!
my fave line was
Bones to Spock
"Are you out of your Vulcan mind?!"
ha ha, brilliant
Oh boy, it was great! I have always loved Star Trek and the film did not disappoint. It was the direction that the films needed to take to be big box office and it was really big budget, big action and a decent to story. For the films to be good they have to be different to the series that have gone before.
Ps, I love DS9!
Not around too often!
Yes it paid lots of homage but essentially what there saying is they've just wiped the slate as far as the last 40 years of Trek are concerned and have started again in an alternate reality...
I just saw this today at the Empire cinema.
I was totally blown away.
Best Trek Film Ever. Period.
Seen it now, and loved every minute of it
Saw this tonight (well technically last night as it was the 11pm showing ).
Really liked it as a film and having gone with a Trek fan, he liked it too. Managed to be simple and light hearted enough for general public to enjoy as well as have enough geekiness for the trekkies. As for as "continuity" is concenered.....Star Trek never had any, so this story is just perfect.
