Hey, do you like it? (do you still have it). I wrote the first track. Always nice to spot a copy popping up somewhere.

    Cheers,

    Jon (Bass Mek)

Re: Found a true classic at the Bootsale today

Well there are about 4 different people who use the name bass mechanic/mecanic/mekanic (in various forms of spelling). based on an old zero-g sample. He is the one who stuck it out - I do jazz mainly now.

I was trying to locate the vocal samples used in that track (without having to dig my decks and vinyls out of the loft), for a new version of that track. My copies of the vinyl version were all stolen many moons ago and the CD version is mixed into the next track which is annoying.

Re: Found a true classic at the Bootsale today

Yer I played at quite a few round the country and in Germany and Denmark (actually my stunt double did Denmark). I was only 17 at the time I started all that - bit of a mad time! My av was the q club in Birmingham - living like some sort of pop star, free fancy food, champagne, erm....other stuff VIP access. Cool....although i hated the fame bit. I don't have a soundcloud account - I will sort one out though. These days it takes ages to get a track down...family man and all that! How times change.

After a bit of sniffing around I turned up a mix with your track, I rather like it. Reminds me of an end of college party on a mates farm. I drank all his dads conyac, and ended up laying in the middle of a a field smoking some herbage
