I listen in the car mainly, but it's still the station I listen to most, or the BBC world service for the news. Otherwise it's LastFM or snake.net metal radio

TBH I dont realy bother about the music - I just like the banter as oit can get a bit quite and introverted at work

I tend to just record the drum and bass show when Fabio hosts it. Not too keen on Grooveriders selections.

I've started to do this now: Just record the shows I'm fairly sure I'll like.

Today I listened to the charts on Radio 1, and I thought maybe I was being a bit unfair with this thread. It's not really a Radio 1 issue, it's just the type of music which seems to be dominant at the moment.
Sadly a huge amount of this seems to revolve around being 'bad' and having attitude issues.

I recently came across this and this which I felt summed it up fairly nicely.

I like to think that I have a huge range of musical taste, but I just can't help feeling that standards just seem to be getting lower lately.

I find the quality of Radio 1's playlist is very variable. Sometimes there's quite a bit of good stuff out and I like listening to it, but more and more frequently it's just utter pap. I've also gone from being a Moyles fan (back in his afternoon slot days) to hoping when I turn on the radio in the morning he's on holiday (as he is now - yay!).
