The weekend of 360 degs of Awsome
What a weekend
Have just got back from a long weekend in Dublin with 3 mates.
Started Friday lunch time with a flight out to Dublin on pikey air (well we didnt get to Dublin till gone 4 as the flight was delayed) Rocked up to our apartment we had rented for 2 nights quick wash and brush up then out we ventured into Dublin's Temple Bar area for a couple of the black stuff. Then on to a restaurant called Bang Cafe which my mate had been going on about for ages. It lived up to the hype, tbh it probably exceeded it the food was fantastic easily the best meal ive had in ages although it wasnt cheap at about 100 euros each incl wine it was worth every penny. After the meal we hit the bars again ending up in the Octagon Bar, we where hoping to see if U2 turned up after the first Croke park gig on friday night but our stamina failed us and we left very pissed at just after 12.
Saturday while 2 of my mates went to play a round of golf I wandered around Dublin for a couple of hours while the other mate had a lie in. I've come to the conclusion that there is something in the waters of the Liffey that gives the ladies of Dublin impressive bewbs (or perhaps I'm just a perv) then we found a sports bar so Lazy mate could watch the Tour de france and we could have some nosh.
After going back to the apartment for a chill (that turned in to a ickle snooze for me) we jumped in a taxi up to Croke park and made our way to our seats. Within about 10 minutes of us finding our seats on came the Kaiser Chiefs and played a great set. (we missed the first support act The Republic of Loose) Then at 8:50 on came U2 and feck me they where good. They started with 4 songs from No Line on the Horizon and going as far back as the Unforgettable Fire and where on stage for well over 2 hours. The Claw/ Space station stage is fecking amazing and must be seen to be believed, the 360 deg screen can be raised and lowered as well as stretched downwards.
All I can say is that (as you can probably tell) I had a great weekend and if you remotely like U2 (even if you dont) try and go and see them as they put on a show like you wouldnt believe

Don't like Kaiser Chiefs, U2 are boring, but it sounds like it was fun :D
In fact the most interesting part of it to me was the meal.. What sort of food is it? :p

For starter I had Chilli and sweet potato soup followed by Thai Baked sea bass, and a coffee crème brulee. It really was some of the best food I've had in a long time, The flavours in the soup where sublime and the sea bass was excellent. The service was also exemplary.
