    Law Abiding Citizen

    Tripe.

A very effective intro, great casting - Butler is particularly effective, although you never rate him as particularly bright tbh -, and some reasonably solid characters. Then you get to the '10 years later' bit, the whole film just falls to pieces. It's watchable - producer was Lucas Foster (Man On Fire, Street Kings, Mr & Mrs Smith) - but it's got holes you could drive through, the overall premise sucks, and the ending blows....

    5/10.

    Re: Law Abiding Citizen

i really enjoyed the idea of the film - the justice system is indeed a mess but then it just went so over the top it was getting ridiculous i agree a mighty 5 or 6 /10

    Re: Law Abiding Citizen

I'm a fan of actions films, if you're into mindless action films you'll enjoy it. I watched it because there was nothing else on at the cinema, it passes the time if there's nothing else on.

But I agree with IBM there were lots of holes, the ending did seem very silly but I could think how it could have been ended any better. I think the basic idea of the film doesn't have an ending that works very well.

    Re: Law Abiding Citizen

I personally enjoyed it. Yes, it's complete nonsense, but if you take the plot with a pinch of salt and just view it as a daft action film then it's plenty fun. It's nearly as daft as Deja Vu, another preposterous movie, which is a lot of fun if you ignore the sheer fact it's 100% implausible.
