Thumbs up Black Sabbath to release re-masered early material

According to the NME Black Sabbath will release remastered versions of five albums from their back catalogue next month.

The legendary heavy metal band, who were fronted by Ozzy Osbourne, will reissue Vol 4 (1972), Sabbath Bloody Sabbath (1973), Sabotage (1975), Technical Ecstasy (1976) and Never Say Die! (1978) on September 21.

The records are due to appear on digipack CDs and will also feature new linear notes.

Very strange, so they are going to remaster the already re mastered albums? I have the full collection boxset on CD and they are remastered.

Worth it though for those that don't already have their albums. Although if you are a Sabbath fan, check out the new albums from Heaven & Hell. Essentially Sabbath with Dio

I don't really get it either to be honest, ah well they can do what they like I've got all the albums on cd already it's all about vinyl for me these days.

Grey, I saw Heaven and Hell at sonisphere a few weeks ago they were awesome to be fair, Tony Iommi's still one the slickest guitarists walking the stage today, pure class

If they're going to do it I hope they do it properly and don't just up the volume and reduce the dynamics like every other remaster on the planet to compete in the loudness wars.
