    TunesPro

Much cheaper than iTunes / Amazon /eMusic.

almost too good to be true

I couldn't find any details of who owns them or how they are funded
(yes googling had discussions about someone with deep pockets running it as a loss leader...)

If it's true some genuine competition bringing prices down would be great...
If not, I'd be worse off than with an illegitimate download...

It would be great if the record labels made it clear whether they have done a deal or not.

The songs are far to cheap, I can't imagine any record labels letting songs sell for those amounts...

Similar site to allofmp3.com and that got shut down for a while and hasn't since raised from the ashes!

    Re: TunesPro

    that's my worry

    too cheap doesn't make sense

currently it's usually cheaper to buy a CD from Amazon or HMV, and higher quality.

with no physical media / distribution / fewer staff etc... downloads ought to be cheaper...

but being hopeful doesn't make me gullible. (again...)

I do recall record labels, describing CDs as higher quality and longer lasting than vinyl - I know what I'll have longer....
