    Re: Iron man 2

I managed to catch a preview last night and really enjoyed it, the pacing was a little off at times, and I thought the final confrontation with Vanko was over a bit quickly. That said though Marvel had a lot to squeeze into Iron Man 2 just to set up things for the Avengers (I suspect the recently re-titled Captain America movie will face similar trouble) and I still enjoyed it as much as the first movie, so they must have done something right.

    Re: Iron man 2

The final fight scene was over a bit quickly, and the drunken scene was a bit naff, but overall I thought it was a very good film. Bit after the credits was quite exciting

Haven't been to the cinema for ages - and definitely wanted to avoid "revenge of the smurfs" - but think I'll see this later

Looking forward to Nightmare on Elm Street as well!

    Re: Iron man 2

For those that want to know what happens after the credits highlight the text below, if you don't want it spoiled then I suggest you don't, obviously

You might remember the Shield agent left to keep an eye on Stark while he goes through his dads old research that dissapears rather than actually keeping an eye on him.... Well, the clip at the end of the film shows him walking up to a large crater in New Mexico, at the bottom of which is Thors hammer and saying into his earpiece (presumably to Nick Fury) "Sir, we've found it". Nice little teaser for Thor but to be honest it probably isn't going to mean much to most people.

Think I feel much the same as the posts above, it was good, but felt al little flat in places.

I did enjoy the Ex-wife though.

Most of the peformances are pretty good but I found Rourke's Vanko a little neglected especially at the end.

I think the pressure of doing this whole Avengers ensemble film hurt Iron Man 2 a little as well by introducing certain characters like Black Widow but I did like Jackson's Nick Fury.
Good call. Rourke was very good though. Still, over all a great film. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Have you seen the pictures of The Expendables? Looks like Mickey Rourke walked off the set of Ironman 2 and right onto The Expendables Top geezer.

And make sure you stay to the "End of the Credits".

Final fight was a little underwhelming as others have said but overall I loved the movie. Thought it did a good job of hinting at parallels with current affairs. Also Pepper Pots is hawt in a wrinkly nerdy way. ;D

    Re: Iron man 2

    **Warning Spoilers Alert!**

I just watched Iron Man 2 at he Cinema and it was a great film, as good as the 1st and enjoyed it slightly more.
I loved the black humor, the jeer and mockery in the dialogue of the main characters through the film and the action scenes were awesome.
Mickey Rourke played whip-lash very well and personally I can’t think of a more suitable actor than Robert Downey Jr. for the role of Tony Stark. He basically plays him self, as in real life he’s not exactly one the “best” boys around

Anyway I noticed a scene form the official trailer where Scarlett Johansson fires the Iron Man gauntlet that was removed from the final film which I saw at the cinema. Anybody knows why?

And at the end of the film when the Thor’s hammer is spotted next to the crater at the desert, is that an inclination that Thor will appear in Iron Man 3, or just a preview of the up coming separate Thor film?

This is why the easter egg after the credits is there retro http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0800369/

They did it after the Hulk film and after the first iron man. All building towards this http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0848228/

Might wanna use the spoiler tags so it doesnt spoil it for others

    Re: Iron man 2

    ** Spoilers***

I wished that fight scene with the portable armour at the F1 Grand Prix would have been a bit longer. Also the final battle against whip-lash felt a bit underwhelming. It too should have been a lot longer.

But I really liked the part when he unleashes the round-house red laser, Repulsor blaster to take out all the drones at once. That looked as if it came straight out of Capcom’s Marvel Super Heroes Beat Up Game:

I also liked the part where Stark sees his father on the video and reveals to him for the 1st time that he had always loved him and he was in fact the best of his father’s creations. And he later, saves his son’s life with his plans on the new element.
