Batman 3 & a Superman reboot!
Sounds exciting

I LOVE the two Batman films but glad he's decided this will be the final one and will have an ending. Will be good to see Nolan do some other projects and not end up doing Batman films for 20 years.
Saying that, a Superman reboot could be pretty awesome!
Inception first though :)
Re: Batman 3 & a Superman reboot!
All good news.
The promise of a decent superman movie is nice. Interested to see what ending they can come up with for Batman.. hopefully they dont use the broken back and preferably not death lol
There were rumours of Frank Miller making a movie of The Dark Knight Returns later, obviously nothing to do with Nolans Batman but that should be interesting.
Re: Batman 3 & a Superman reboot!
Did he end up with a broken back in TDKR comic then? Only read the first few pages (comics arent my thing).
I guess he wouldn't kill Batman though - imagine the hatemail he'd get if he done that!
Re: Batman 3 & a Superman reboot!
Superman reboot, didnt they do that a few years ago?

thats what im thinking. Wel its doable as their doing a spiderman reboot staring that guy from twighlight movies
Re: Batman 3 & a Superman reboot!
Oh god no, lets hope they dont go against what we know as spiderman and turn him into a vegiterian emo sparkly mofo...
Re: Batman 3 & a Superman reboot!
I really don't think the last Superman film was *that* bad - at least they tried to keep continuity with the original first 2 films - and forgot the two naff ones :)

No broken back was in the knightfall books :)
Dark night returns is set in the future with bruce older and coming out of retirement but the town dont want him anymore.

I just dont remember it at all... it wasnt terrible but it needs something extra.. hard to say what lol
Re: Batman 3 & a Superman reboot!
certainly didn't need Richard Prior :)
Re: Batman 3 & a Superman reboot!
The problem with another Superman movie is giving him someone to square off against that's actually entertaining to watch. I don't want another Lex Luthor land grab scheme that's two and a half hours long, it's not entertaining and it hardly portrays him as the genius he's supposed to be to have him try the same half arsed scheme not once, but twice. Unless they go the Death of Superman route, or they make Luthor President and give the man of steel an opponent that's a match for him physically I'm just not interested any more to be honest, especially if Mark Millar's involved.

maybe doomsday as the bad guy?
Re: Batman 3 & a Superman reboot!
What about me as a bad guy, some sort of bad guy that looses stuff because of superman and then I can do whacky experiments on myself to make me uber hard so I can go kick his ass....
Re: Batman 3 & a Superman reboot!
Doomsday would be good, maybe even Darkseid athough he'd be a bit harder to explain in a realistic way and I know Nolan likes to keep things that way. Doomsday is pretty much what you're describing Trig, an artificially evolved, genetically engineered fella that's tougher than a coffin nail and hates all kryptonians, he actually managed to "kill" Superman in the comics, after beating the entire JLA down with literally one hand tied behind his back.
