So not a film, but who else watches or has watched Mad Men ?
I polished off Series 1 earlier this week after having it recommended to me by a mate from college, and I have to say its really good.
Every scene is smokes and alcohol with every other someone being sexed all with the styling of the 60's.
I'm currently watching S4, and it's a very enjoyable show. The design and mood of the show is impeccable, with some enjoyable characters to watch - it's quite easy to get invested in them, and their shenanigans. There's been some good humour in S4 so far.
AMC has got some great shows in it's lineup these days - the amazing Breaking Bad, possibly the best drama on TV IMO, and the upcoming The Walking Dead looks excellent as well.

havent seen any of series 4 yet but Its one of the best shows out there atm in my opinion.
Agree about walkng dead. The comic series is immense and if they can get even half of the atmosphere right it will rock
Found it tolerable, but nothing to write home about. Watched most of the first season about a month ago, and although I thought the style and feel were excellent, and the production & direction very good, neither the characters nor the stories carried enough subtance to keep me involved.
Which is to say that I was disappointed as I was really looking forward to it.
I know what you mean about the stories - not very much happens for episode to episode, but I quite enjoy that when it's done right, and there's no convoluted and pointless plot changes like in 24 for example.
I have to agree, some episodes feel like the are the to make the numbers up and that sometimes perhaps a new plot line will start mid episode an not pick up immediately in the following one.
