What a movie, just loved everything about it. Had everything i love in it, everything....

Zombies, Sumarai, Girls, Lasers, Robots, Projectiles, Explosions, Orcs, Dragons, Choppers.....i could go on.

    Such a fun fest!

I wonder how Zack Snyder will adapt to Superman next.

Just rain on the parade why don't you

Not keen on seeing it until it hits TV; if it was free why not. League of gentlemen comes mind and was not amused by that. Not sure its a +1 channel film (Channels with a +1 hr sister channel so you can watch a film in half the time by flicking between the two. I suppose it could also be referred to as the memento effect. Saw films in 50 minutes makes them actually quite good!)

The girls are all in an asylum I feel like some dirty pervert before entertaining the notion they might be attractive. Anyone else get that cringy feeling?

I think Emily Browning is gorgeous! Then again, my other half keeps telling me I'm a dirty old man so in for a penny, in for a pound*, I say.

I may go and watch this film as it looks splendidly silly/violent - I tend to ignore reviews now.

    Re: Suckerpunch

It is splendidly silly. It's impossible for girls in short skirts massacring nazi steampunk zombies with swords not to be fantastic.

    But.

That's as far as it goes. Don't expect Watchmen (apart from the scenes copied from Watchmen), there is no great story or acting here.

Great one and impressive movie. Emily Browning, Abbie Cornish and Vanessa Anne Hudgens, they all worked so fantastically. I loved it

    Re: Suckerpunch

It looked nice but the story was rubbish, I got bored after a few minutes and even the sexy girls and action weren't enough to keep me entertained. I was looking forward to watching it and really wasn't impressed!

    Terrible film.

Was really looking forward to it, then got around to watching it. 2 hours of my life I'll never get back.

    Re: Suckerpunch

    Hi,

I must admit, I liked it, but then again I'm a comicbook fan so maybe it suits that particular taste.

    Music was superb too.

    Re: Suckerpunch

An overpriced, special effect ridden, badly acted, poorly scripted excuse for a movie.

It has some nice action scenes granted, but it all seems like a big 3D artist's showcase demo and not a proper film at all, thumbs down without a doubt!

    Re: Suckerpunch

After watching it I agree with only watching it for the fight scenes really. You can skip the rest of the story and still get the idea of what’s going on or cheat and read the Wikipedia article

    Re: Suckerpunch

I quite enjoyed it myself, went to watch it with a friend and didn't find myself bored. I didn't think the story was bad at all, it's not LoTR but it's not meant to be. As for criticizing it for special effects - why? The whole story is about someone's far-fetched imagination.

I also completely ignore reviews now, some of my favourite films have below 50 on sites like metacritic, while some films that get really good critic reviews may be very well acted and scripted but they completely ignore that they are horrendously BORING to watch *cough*kings speech*cough* to the point I was counting the minutes and found myself reading the back of the popcorn packet over and over before just walking out. The only consolation was we got to see it free...

    Re: Suckerpunch

Well I've just watched this, and this rates up there with Catwoman as an "Oh My God that's 2 hours of my life I'll never get back." movie.

    Re: Suckerpunch

I went to watch with a group of mates (mainly guys) and I loved it.
Can't take it seriously for one moment, tis just an hour and a half of girls and guns, can't really complain

On a slightly more serious note, the soundtrack is awesome, with Emily Blunt (lead actress) singing a couple of the songs.
