    Re: Game of Thrones

Bit of a slow burner so far this year, enjoying it though, looks like it's all going to kick off pretty soon.

Loved the dragon with the fish.

    Re: Game of Thrones

I enjoyed last night's episode more than I did last week's.

I enjoyed the first series very much, the second series less so and it's too early to tell on this one...

Agreed though the 2nd series has had the best episode so far by far IMO.

The 1st episode was pretty lackluster which surprised me - apart from seeing the Giant - no real highlight for me.

Id give last weeks 3.5 / 5 and the week before that prob a 2

yeah, but I expected to see them bigger for some reason and at least horse sized, maybe its just me but I thought the cgi was less impressive too - the giant was awesome though , best interpretation of one Ive seen yet .

Agree about the CGI, quite inexplicable really considering the budget lavished on it. Tho, as you say, the giant was gr8

it goes without saying the crow is always good 2 , though thats maybe partially real apart from the eye.

Still enjoying these, though the missus was driving me nuts last night asking for spoilers...

Not sure I'm overly keen with Pennis as Thoros though:I kinda had him down as a crazed monk in a red garment, whereas he seems to be mostly just a slightly crazy soldier as things stand. Looking forward to the flaming sword though.

The giant was really good; highly convincing! Which was the episode you felt was the best?

For me, they lost something once Ned Stark was gone. Generally speaking, I find I enjoy stuff set outside King's Landing far more than within.. I'm not sure why, though.

Yes I liked Ned too , he seemed more of an outsider or more like he was the only chain trying to hold the link together .

TBH I find this invisible war going on with Little finger & Spider more intriguing than anything - esp their exchanges when u Tyrion in.

Jon Snow is like the darkhorse my outside bet is he ends up killing a dragon and indeed becoming the hero - the bastard king in the end and perhaps even marrys Alesia ( sp? )

prob way off , its fun to guess - no plan to spoil it by reading the books.

Best episode : Battle of Blackwater Bay of course the lead up , the drama , the whole thing was 5 star all the way IMO

Funnily enough I really liked Stannis in this episode too ( usually my least favourite ) - whom I thought put on the best fighting skills Ive seen yet.
