please let me know how good these transfers are!. Want to buy starwars but wont until i know how good the transfer has been, got the original 3 on their way from panasonic regardless though

i am waiting on my orignal trilogy to turn up from panasonic. not sure if i wanna get the newer ones or not though phantom menace was awful although my 6 year old liked it

Not yet, they're all getting the 3D treatment for a full theatre re-release again next year....
Then probably out on Blu-Ray and DVD in 3D in 2013/14

The industry needs to learn how licensing works. No way I am paying full price for the same content again with some bells and whistles added......I'll wait for the bells and whistles first!

3D doesnt do anything for me really. Until they perfect something that doesnt require me to wear glasses.
Watched Episode IV last night. Loved the detail on Blu-Ray looks better, so a good transfer. The lightsaber scenes were a bit juddery, IMO could have cleaned it up a bit more especially nowadays. The audio varied in places, sounded like a different bitrate and clarity varied between scenes. Might have been down to microphone positioning at the time, but it was funny how I noticed this.
Lots of extra scenes and bits added in which was nice. Looking forward to Episode V
