Maybe its a bit girlie, but I recommend a walk to remember from Nicholas Sparks. I love this book, the story is so touching. I have to cry each time.
Butterscotch by Milo Manara
Siege Malta by Ernle Bradford. Factual history account of Malta in WWII and really well written, really gripped by it.
robo apocopes daniel wilson
any of the discworld books or brian lumley books
A book I can't forget is Ray Bradbury's Farenheit 451.
I loved it when I first read it and was very impressed with the story of his writing it as well.
Recently finished "Ready Player One", it was a really a good book.
The Lord of the rings. It's one of those books that everyone should read in their lifetime. Along with War and Peace and The Art of War![]()
david weber's dahak trilogy
I've just finished reading Ken Follett's Century Trilogy. Really good, if very very long. Wasn't too impressed with the 3rd book to begin with, not caring about the characters so much, but they grew on me...
"Malazan book of the fallen" the whole series. It's a finished fantasy series and you could say it's my most favorite book. It's better than Game of thrones and if they make a tv series out of it, it'll be epic (although it would be so difficult to do imo).
For a single stand alone book then Terry Pratchett and Neil Gamens Good Omens, a fantastic satirical look at religion and England.
For a series, just finished reading Ian M Banks Culture series for the 3rd time, some absolute crackers in there, some of the best developed Scifi I have read. I think Look Windward is my favourite.
In the fantasy genre, I liked Poul Andersons "The Broken Sword". War between the Elves and Trolls set in Viking times.
The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, My favourite
