Angels and Demons
I swear I did nothing but read that book for a week or two.
Jurasic Park by michael crichton, much better then the movie.
Second the song of ice and fire series, kept me going for the last 5 years!
Mort by Terry Pratchet but all the discworld books are great
The Lost Fleet Series by Jack Campbell, more than a few grammar/speeling errors (and a few Americanisms and at least one made up word, which I suppose could come under an Americanism, they do like to butcher the English language don't they?) but an enjoyable read if your into space based sci-fi and can overlook these minor foibles.
For epic fantasy: The Wheel of Time, Robert Jordan (14 book series).
Good to see a couple of mentions for The Dark Tower series.
Hoping someone has got me The Wind Through the Keyhole for Christmas!
I've just finished 'The Art of Racing in the Rain' by Garth Stein. It has cars and dogs in it, so it's good, in a manly way. It's got love and relationships in it, which is good for the lasses too...
Finished reading 'Dancing with Eternity' today. Very comical take on sci-fi. Highly recommended.

I would recommend Christopher Moore's A drity job. It's exciting and hilarious. I had so much fun reading it.

Thanks, will add to wish list. Any Sci-Fi recommendation?
All the stuff he wrote on his own has been good so far.

Cheers. Those books are very intriguing. We discover something new everyday. It makes me sad sometimes that I won't have enough time in my life to read all the awesome books. :/
As you were.
Been reading the original Bond series by Ian Fleming recently - good size for train reading! Bit bizarre coming across the occasional bit of casual racism (written in 50's/60's) and they go into masses of detail on everything, but overall really enjoyed them.
