Lovefilm - Online streaming - Opinion?

I was wondering if there were any Lovefilm subscribers that exclusively used streaming....and what your thoughts on the service was please?

Currently contemplating it and was wondering how you find the image and sound quality and how prompt new releases are added.

I use both disk and streaming and its pretty decent, the PS3 app isn't fantastic but has improved over time.

Some of the older films I found to be awful but it was the minority, anything within the last few years is ok and as Jay says the PS3 interface is much improved.

What kind of connection do you need or is recommended for this? We download (on a good day) at about 400kb/s a second, would that sort of speed experience a lot of stuttering? Can you leave the film streaming for a while before clicking to play?

Good service, but just watch your download limit/cap is you have one as I got a letter from talktalk a couple of times.

Most films still appear to be missing on the PS3 as none of the Genres have a complete A-Z listing (for example the list may end at films beginning with the letter E).

Well, I finally got around to signing up for the trial.....Choose the 9.99/month package.

First thing I did was look for "Rise of the Planet of the Apes". They had it on DVD and Blu-Ray but did not offer it to stream.

Then I looked for Trust (Clive Owen).....available to stream but have to pay an additional £3.49 to watch......

After that I cancelled the trial

Guess I will wait to see what Netflix brings in the new year.

We have the £13.99 unlimited package so I have streaming and up to three discs at a time. Its been a very good service all around, we haven't used the streaming service (I have a sony BD) that much because when we first got the package the available films were quite shockingly bad but recently there have been a few updates and the collection available to stream has improved quite a bit.

Tip: Do not get "hobo with a shotgun". We thought it sounded funny so we added it to the list... its horrific.

Definitely a dodgy film that one... Title sounds funny but that's as far as it goes

AMazon are offering a £15 voucher and a 30 day trial for fwee. Well worth starting just for that.
